In today’s world, we cannot move a single step ahead without measurement. A grocery shop owner needs to measure weight. A doctor measures body temperature and blood pressure. A two wheeler mechanic measures tyre pressure. A milkman measures quantity of milk. A mason measures length height, breadth and depth of wall and so on. To measure physical quantities, we define units of measurement that are essential in any kind of estimation. These units are broadly classified into two categories, viz. qualitative and quantitative.
